1. Do I need a COVID negative test or proof of vaccination to travel?

3. What time should I arrive for my flight at the airport?

Passengers are encouraged to arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to their flight time departure. If you are traveling to an international destination, passengers should arrive at least three hours prior to their scheduled flight departure time. Remember that the international border might take some time to travel through. 

4. What kind of identification do I need to board my flight?

You must present government issued photo identification. Visit TSA's Identification website for specific details. It is recommended that you contact your airline for their specific identification-related requirements.

5. Are there any job opportunities available at the airport?

The City of Minot owns and operates the Minot International Airport. Please see the City's employment website for any possible airport positions. The airport's tenants (airlines, car rentals agencies, restaurant, TSA, and FBOs) should be contacted directly regarding open positions.

6. How does Real ID Act affect me and my travels?

The REAL ID Act establishes minimum security standards for license issuance and production and prohibits Federal agencies from accepting for certain purposes driver’s licenses and identification cards from states not meeting the Act’s minimum standards. The purposes covered by the Act are: accessing Federal facilities, entering nuclear power plants, and, boarding federally regulated commercial aircraft.

7. Is there Wi-Fi Internet service available in the airport terminal building?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the airport terminal, courtesy of SRT. Just connect to "Fly MOT", open your web browser, and accept the terms of use.

8. What are the airport's hours of operation?

The airport operates 365 day per year. The terminal building is opened two hours prior to the first departure of the day, closing at 1 a.m. daily. For security purposes, passengers will be asked to leave the terminal and will not be permitted re-entry until the building is opened for the first departure. Exceptions will be made, as needed, to accommodate flight delays and diversions.

9. Are there any food services available in the airport terminal building?

The Trestle Tap House, located post-security on the second floor, serves a full menu, including breakfasts, and a full bar both in the post-security restaurant and at its pre-security tables on the mezzanine.

10. Are there any hotel accommodations that offer complimentary airport shuttle service?

Yes, please visit our Ground Transportation page for an updated listing of hotels in the area with shuttle service to and from the airport. We recommend contacting the hotel in advance before making your room reservation to reconfirm shuttle service availability.

11. Can I check my baggage in the day before my flight?

No. The airlines do not permit passengers to check their baggage in until the day of their flight.

12. Is there shuttle service to/from the airport?

There is not an airport shuttle service servicing the region.  

There are some local hotels that offer complimentary shuttle service to their guests. Please contact your hotel to arrange these services.
